What is digital marketing ?

Digital marketing is the process of marketing of products or service using digital technologies, mainly on the internet but also including mobile phones, display ads & many digital medium .we also call digital marketing & online marketing.
Marketing has always been about connecting with your audience in the right place and at the right time. Today, that means you need to meet them where they are already spending time: on the internet.

What are the types of digital marketing ?

There are 10 types of Digital Marketing . which are given below:-

1.SEO(Search Engine Optimization):- SEO is the process of affecting the online visibility of a website or a web page in the web search engine. SEO is unpaid. SEO is used for promoting a site .it is also referred as natural as organic.

2.SEM(Search Engine Marketing):- Search engine marketing is a form of Internet marketing that involves the promotion of websites by increasing their visibility in search engine results pages primarily through paid advertising.

3.SMM(Search Media Marketing):- Social media marketing is the use of social media platforms and websites to promote a product or service. Although the terms e-marketing and digital marketing are still dominant in academia, social media marketing is becoming more popular for both practitioners and researchers

4.Content Marketing:-Content marketing is a form of marketing focused on creating, publishing and distributing content for the target audience.

5.E-Mail Marketing:– Email marketing is the act of sending a commercial message, typically to a group of people, using email. In its broadest sense, every email sent to a potential or current customer could be considered email marketing.

6.Online Marketing:-Online marketing is a set of tools and methodologies used for promoting products and services through the internet. Online marketing includes a wider range ofmarketing elements than traditional business marketing due to the extra channels and marketing mechanisms available on the internet.

7.Landing Page Marketing:Landing pages are often linked to social media, e-mail campaigns or search engine marketing campaigns in order to enhance the effectiveness of the advertisements. The general goal of a landing page is to convert site visitors into sales or leads.

8.Mobile Marketing:– Mobile marketing is promotional activity designed for delivery to cell phones, smart phones and other handheld devices, usually as a component of a multi-channel campaign A

9.Affiliate Marketing:- Affiliate marketing is one of the most popular ways people make money online. It is a strategy where an individual partners with a business in order to make a commission by referring readers or visitors to a business’s particular product or service.

10.Viral Marketing:- Viral marketing is any marketing technique that induces websites or users to pass on a marketing message to other sites or users, creating a potentially .

Growth of Digital Marketing in India

As an internet user increase, day by day e-commerce industry is also on a booming path. Companies are shifting their advertising budget from traditional marketing to digital marketing strategies.

The growth was in a geometric progression as it rose to $6 billion in 2012. The competitive growth demands for more improvement in the career works and professionals are being added to the field.

From 2013 to March 2015, the investment total increase was 1.5 billion dollars over the preceding years. There has been an impressive growth up till this present moment.
